SINP or The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program is a means of immigrating to Canada. In Canada immigration news latest, the Saskatchewan province, through the SINP, invites non-Canadians who wish to make Saskatchewan their home and nominates candidates who are successful in the federal government for permanent residence in Canada.
The SINP is only one step towards becoming a permanent resident of Saskatchewan. All accepted applicants must also apply for residence through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Canadian Immigration Commission.
SINP offers candidates:
- Competitive processing times of applications
- Assistance from regional immigration officers who are willing to clarify criteria
If qualified candidates apply for permanent resident status with the IRCC, they will be known as SINP nominees. If you meet the programme requirements, you can apply to the SINP. Please ensure that you complete the correct applications and have valid documentation.
Canada immigration news latest is that on February 25, Saskatchewan held a new draw encouraging applicants to apply for a provincial nomination residence in Canada.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited 299 applicants from the group of International Skilled Workers. Only candidates who could qualify for the SINP Express Entry subcategory were invited to participate in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
Applicants needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 70 to be invited. They also wanted job experience in one of the 70 on-demand occupations on the government website.
Invited applicants had work experience in at least one of 70 on-demand professions. Some of the qualifying occupations include medical administrative assistants, retail and wholesale buyers, and geological engineers.
The SINP uses the EOI system to choose the candidates most likely to succeed in the regional labour market. Applicants need to demonstrate their commitment to settle in Saskatchewan by presenting their work experience, education, language abilities, age and connections to the province.
Saskatchewan, according to the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid, gives candidates a score of 100. The highest-ranking candidates are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.
As of November 2020, Saskatchewan has started to give more EOI points to people who can speak both English and French.
Only candidates with profiles in the Federal Express Entry Pool received invitations from Saskatchewan in the most recent invitation round.
The Federal Express Entry System manages the group of candidates for three of Canada’s major economic immigration programs the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Program and the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
If applicants in the Federal Express Entry Pool have also completed an EOI for Saskatchewan and scored 70 on the SINP Points Assessment Grid, they may have been invited to the latest draw.
Express Entry candidates applying for and receiving provincial nominations from the Province of Saskatchewan receive an extra 600 points for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This award virtually ensures that they will be invited to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent Federal Express Entry draw. The same applies to any of the Provincial Nominee Programs in Canada that are aligned with Express Entry.
